"Log Art" is Chen
Baiqiu's artistic creation. He utilizes each kind of woody plants, the liana,
and the herbaceous material to create an artistic fabric.
This kind of special
art manifestation is taken naturally from different parts of a plant; its
stems, trunks, roots and others. The process passes through different angle
cuttings, thus, an artistic creation of basic viewing language unit and
materials. After the art combination process, it will constitute an independent
artistic work.
This kind of artistic work
is mostly originated from nature, therefore, it does not serve with any
artificial color, thus it is named as "Log Art ". It is all handmade
and unique.
Chen Baiqiu through his work
displays a kind of mystical primitive culture from the Gui Province of China,
which possess simple and rough esthetics appeal. His work has overpowering
momentum, profound meanings and rich with imagination.
Chen Baiqiu believes that,
the log material has a characteristic, although red, orange, yellow, green,
light green, blue, purple seven colors have everything expected to find, but
when all plant surface material and the cross section material combine
together, it all extremely harmoniously unify in one kind of wonderful ash
tone.
This is for the Log Art creation very great
